About the Role

FLOCERT is seeking a highly skilled Certification Analyst Europe to join our team. As a Certification Analyst Europe, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering Fairtrade certification and audits of companies in assigned countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as account manager for assigned customers
  • Perform evaluations of audit reports against Fairtrade trade standards
  • Perform Fairtrade audits of customers in assigned countries
  • Communicate actively with certified customers and assist them with all necessary information including trade certification related questions
  • Instruct customers on Fairtrade requirements
  • Participate in projects as team member
  • Assist in the selection, evaluation and training of auditors
  • Assist in constant improvement of certification processes

Requirements

  • University level education (B.A. or equivalent) in a relevant subject (business, agronomy, economics, food science etc.)
  • At least 2 years of related professional work experience in an office and customer orientated environment
  • Work experience of more than 1 year in certification and/or coordination in the following fields: Fairtrade certification, organic certification, social accountability certification / auditing, economic auditing, verification, relevant supply chains, sustainability, food processing and / or any other relevant business.
  • Fluency in English and French language (verbal and written)
  • Strong dedication towards customer service
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with different cultures
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • Flexible, pro-active and hard-working work style
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Motivation for Fairtrade
