About the Role

Nordson Matrix Technologies, a leading provider of advanced inspection and testing solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineer to join our team in Feldkirchen, Germany. Job Summary

As a Software Engineer within the automation technologies team, you will participate in the development of our software suite for automatic x-ray inspection systems. You will modify and extend the functionality of the system as well as off-line software modules. You will also work together with the team to ensure overall software quality and provide support to internal and external users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create solutions around the software integration of our systems within the end-user factories.
  • Custom integrations based on common industry standards (e.g. SECS/GEM, CFX, etc.).
  • Create system software extensions and participate in creating specifications for such.
  • Support self-developed extensions as well as such created by other team-members.
  • Perform 3rd level support and system analysis.
  • Participate in the migration to Azure DevOps.
  • Support the continuous improvement of our software platform.
Requirements
  • Degree in computer science or similar.
  • Professional skills in C# and object-oriented programming, WinForms, WPF.
  • Industry areas: Electronics industry, automotive.
  • Areas of work: Automation / factory automation, MES, SPC.
  • Used to work with factory-automation protocols e.g. SECS/GEM (SEMI E5, E30, E37,...), CFX (IPC-2591), OpCon, GHP, iTAC.
  • Known to SECS/GEM Libraries like Insphere, Cimetrix, Hume.
  • Passion to work within an international, interdisciplinary team.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, preferably also German.
