Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our core product team. As a key member of our team, you will design and implement features that make dlt a gateway to the composable data stack, integrating query engines, transformation frameworks, and table formats with our library.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing OSS features that integrate dlt with the composable data stack
- Listening to our users and understanding their needs to support their production workflows
- Collaborating with customers on commercial projects where dlt is combined with existing modern data stack infrastructure
- Maintaining the open-source project with our team, including reviewing PRs, resolving issues, and engaging with community contributors
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience with high-performance Python data processing libraries, such as duckdb, arrow, datafusion, and delta-rs
- Knowledge of the Modern Data Stack and its benefits, as well as the emerging Pythonic Composable Data Stack
- Fluency in Python, including typing, unit testing, and writing docstrings
- A degree in computer science, data science, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with GitHub workflows, including pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD services
We also welcome candidates with experience in DevOps, machine learning, and a hacker nature who enjoy optimizing code.
