We are seeking a highly skilled Studio Automation Specialist to join our team at Sky Sport News. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the smooth execution of live broadcasts, ensuring that our studio operations run seamlessly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and control the broadcast and control room automation using automation technology.
- Operate and monitor multiple cameras, including remote-controlled camera robotics, and coordinate signal sources.
- Communicate with reporters and external guests, providing technical support and coordinating live switchover.
- Support live broadcasts of various sports for Sky Sport from the sports production and broadcasting center.
- Set up studio technology and prepare the set for live operation, including lighting, sound, and microphones.
- Assist with project management and implementation of in-house events, ensuring adherence to editorial and technical standards.
- Completed vocational training or degree in a relevant field, with 2-4 years of professional experience.
- Experience as a directorial vision mixer, with responsibility for live feeds (image and sound).
- Familiarity with broadcast automation systems and a strong affinity for sports.
- Knowledge of studio technology, camera systems, and experience with EB light and sound.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Excellent German and good English skills.
