Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our team at IN VIA Dortmund e.V. in a part-time position (19.5 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with our existing team and independently with clients to provide individualized support and case management.
  • Develop and implement integration plans for young people with a migration background, aged 12-27, to improve their chances of integration in the linguistic, educational, vocational, and social spheres.
  • Enhance the social, cultural, and political participation of young migrants in all areas of life.
  • Conduct public outreach and intercultural networking activities.
Requirements:
  • Completed degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, or a related field.
  • High intercultural competence.
  • Knowledge and experience in social work methods, including case management, counseling, individual work, and networking.
  • Good knowledge of migration law and social law.
  • Ability to work independently, structured, and self-responsibly.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • High level of flexibility, resilience, and commitment.
  • Desirable: proficiency in foreign languages.
