About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our Accounting Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing timely and precise reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting and Financial Management: You will support our departments with GotPhoto Accounting functions, including credits, refunds, and payments.
  • Month/Year End Closings: You will assist our Senior Accountants with Month End and Year End Closings by gaining expertise in Group Accounting and reconciliations.
  • Day-to-Day Tasks: You will manage incoming invoices, use expense tools, handle pre-accounting, reconciliations, and resolve issues with interfaces and ports.
  • Collaboration and Support: You will engage in cross-functional projects involving tech, payment, and accounting teams.
Requirements
  • Experience & Skills: You have 1-3 years of experience in Accounting with knowledge of HGB and US GAAP. You are proficient in booking in common Accounting systems (e.g. DATEV).
  • Tax Knowledge: You have a basic understanding of VAT schemes.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication: You have strong problem-solving skills, proactive issue resolution, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Core Competencies: You have attention to detail, strategic thinking, collaboration, and awareness of compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Languages: Your language skills are sufficient to communicate effectively in German and English in a business environment.
