Chief Cost Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Chief Cost Optimization Specialist to join our team at Quest One.
This is a full-time position with hybrid work arrangements and opportunities for personal growth and development.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will lead and manage the Product Cost & Value Engineering team, driving cost optimization initiatives and developing processes and tools within the department.
You will be responsible for achieving target costs of H-TEC's electrolyzer products through interdisciplinary collaboration with engineering and supply chain teams.
Your key responsibilities will include defining target costs for components and modules, driving cost down potentials from idea to implementation, and acting as an internal consultant for optimizing product costs within design, manufacturing, and procurement.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field
- Professional experience in product cost management, value engineering, or a comparable position with a strong focus on manufacturing, costs, or quality
- Proven leadership skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Sound knowledge of value analysis and cost calculation
- Strong analytical mindset and structured approach to problem-solving
- Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and ERP systems
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, with proficiency in German an advantage
We offer a competitive salary range of €85,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including flexible work arrangements, home office options, regular updates, and transparent communication through our All-Hands meetings.
