Professorship in Timber and Solid Construction

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Professorship in Timber and Solid Construction at the Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing the specialist area of Timber and Solid Construction in the fields of teaching and research.

• Teaching and research in the area of Timber and Solid Construction
• Development and implementation of modules in the areas of timber engineering and solid construction
• Conducting research into innovative load-bearing structures in the field of timber engineering and/or solid construction
• Participating in interdisciplinary student projects and promoting innovative and interdisciplinary study and communication formats
• Providing digital teaching and participating in expanding cooperation relationships with domestic and foreign universities

• Doctorate in engineering and a qualified university degree in civil engineering or a comparable course of study
• Extensive relevant professional experience (at least five years, of which at least three years have been outside the university sector)
• Relevant practical construction experience in structural timber construction and/or solid construction, including hybrid constructions
• Ability to represent the subject area in the required depth in both research and teaching
