Your Role

As a Data Protection Team Lead at Utimaco, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and Agile project management to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to development teams to ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Agile Project Management: Plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Code Maintenance and Refactoring: Ensure the quality and maintainability of legacy code, and refactor as necessary to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • People Management: Lead and manage a team of developers, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure their success.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in leading development teams.
  • Background in maintaining and refactoring legacy code (C/C++).
  • Hands-on experience in coding and code review processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of security principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Windows system environments.
  • Good English language skills, good German language skills.
