Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality measurement data to support the development and production of our medical devices. This will involve consulting with internal customers to select the most suitable measurement methods, conducting microanalytical investigations, and developing and applying etching and contrasting methods.

You will also be required to characterize surfaces of polymeric medical device components, define and prepare test samples for measuring methods, and present measurement results and analyses in international project teams.

In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining fit-for-purpose HRI equipment, enhancing your understanding of state-of-the-art measurement equipment and processes, and elaborating proposals for equipment extensions and additional analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality measurement data to support product development and production
  • Consult with internal customers to select suitable measurement methods
  • Conduct microanalytical investigations and develop etching and contrasting methods
  • Characterize surfaces of polymeric medical device components
  • Define and prepare test samples for measuring methods
  • Present measurement results and analyses in international project teams
  • Maintain fit-for-purpose HRI equipment
Qualification Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and/or 5+ years relevant experience in a metrology laboratory
  • Expert knowledge of metrology standards (ISO 1101, ISO 5459, ISO 8015, ISO 14405, ISO 17450)
  • Skilled in coordinate metrology and development of automated measurement processes
  • Ability to conduct shape and position tolerance calculations and perform measurement system analyses
  • CAD construction and reverse engineering skills
Salary and Benefits

Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year (dependent on experience)
