The City of Bremerhaven is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Music Director:in (w/m/d) to lead the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Music Theater department. As the artistic leader, you will be responsible for shaping the musical profile of the orchestra and the music theater, as well as developing the artistic direction of the institution.

• Artistic leadership of the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Music Theater department
• Responsibility for the musicians of the orchestra in organizational and personnel matters, in collaboration with the orchestra director
• Programming of subscription and special concerts to engage existing audiences and attract new ones
• Engagement of guest conductors, soloists, and reinforcements
• Leading rehearsals and performances of music theater and concert productions
• Supervision of conductors, kapellmeisters, copyists, and guest conductors
• Development of educational activities for the city theater and the philharmonic orchestra in collaboration with other departments

• Extensive and outstanding knowledge and experience as a conductor and musical leader, particularly in the areas of symphonic concerts and opera
• Leadership experience
