Culinary Leadership Role

As the Head of Culinary Operations at Creative City Berlin, you will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation in our kitchen. This involves supervising and managing all kitchen staff, as well as keeping an eye out for problems that arise in the kitchen and taking control of the situation at a moment's notice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow all HACCP instructions according to our operational guide
  • Ensure the team is following safe food handling practices, fulfilling legal and external requirements, and minimizing waste
  • Oversee the food menu, kitchen standards, and offerings in accordance with our restaurant's policy and vision
  • Supervise all food preparation and presentation to maintain our high standards
  • Manage kitchen orders, minimize waste, and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in regular management meetings and negotiate with suppliers
  • Develop and maintain all documentation required for your area of responsibility
  • Understand and act on the financial performance of the kitchen
  • Guide and develop the kitchen team, including training and professional development
  • Plan and manage kitchen staff, generate rotas, and manage working hours and holidays
  • Ensure the team is aware of and follows all procedures and standards
  • Communicate regularly with the front-of-house team and maintain a close connection with owners
