Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing the interfaces between production, warehouse/distribution centers, transport, and construction sites, taking into account the coordination of customer requirements and the use of subcontractors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement transport and storage strategies, optimizing planning and tracking systems.
  • Plan and oversee transport and delivery tasks to ensure on-time delivery of heavy-, oversized, and general cargo shipments.
  • Coordinate storage and delivery activities by managing the warehouse calendar and delivery timelines.
  • Optimize multimodal/road transport flows regarding routes and loads.
  • Ensure the proper implementation of transport permits and necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate the return of empty cable drums in cooperation with plant logistics.
  • Monitor key logistics figures vis-a-vis internal and external stakeholders.
  • Closely cooperate with other functions within and outside the project team to reach overall logistic targets.
  • Support contractual customer requirements regarding logistic topics.

Requirements

  • Completed studies in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience, preferably in project logistics and heavy-, oversized multimodal transportation.
  • Proficient in German and English at C1 level or higher.
  • Good MS Office skills, preferably knowledge in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Adaptable and forward-thinking approach, with an understanding of project-relevant key figures.
  • Project and client-oriented mindset, focusing on aligning project goals with client needs and expectations.
  • Proactive communication and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Team player, stress-resistant with strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills as well as perseverance and assertiveness.
