About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team at ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for mobile and deployable systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of system designs for mobile and deployable systems
  • Coordinate system integration projects for mechanical integration and construction
  • Develop general technical system specifications
  • Plan and develop specifications for mechanical components, including construction
  • Collaborate on the development of specifications for electrical systems
  • Support the development of complex proposals
  • Conduct requirement analyses
  • Prepare and conduct verification tests and fault corrections
  • Lead internal and external workshops on mechanical integration and construction
Requirements
  • Completed university degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent)
  • Several years of experience in development and construction in the field of mechanical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical component design and metalworking
  • Experience with 2D/3D CAD software
  • Good knowledge of environmental qualification (e.g. vibration, shock, temperature, dust)
  • Advanced knowledge of standards and regulations in the civil and military sectors
  • Basic knowledge of ergonomic workplace design
  • Understanding of procurement processes in the civil and military sectors
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Excellent German language skills in writing and speaking
