Applications Engineer Trainee

We are looking for a technically and commercially experienced salesperson in the office (Applications Engineer). This position maintains an on-going business relationship with customers and daily interactions with Sales Engineers, external and intercompany suppliers, Technical Solutions and Commercial Operations Engineers to meet on-time delivery commitments for Pump repairs, upgrades, and spare parts to customers.
You will act as a technical inside salesperson, in a team and work closely with the sales, development, and other specialist departments at connected intercompany sites, and external suppliers.
In this role, you will receive and process customer inquiries, orders and complaints in German or English, follow-up of cost estimates and offers, post-processing and translation of repair findings reports, identification of customer requirements, delivery time determination and delivery date monitoring, ordering (internal and external suppliers), organization of machine transport to the service center, support in project preparation and support of pump repairs and upgrades, and customer support in German and English.
You will have strong communication and team skills, good computer skills in common MS Office applications, and fluency in written and spoken German. You will also have good written and spoken English knowledge. Additionally, you will have affinity for both areas (technology / office) and a Can-Do mentality.
