Postdoctoral Researcher Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Dr. Pascal Geldsetzer and other researchers to lead analyses in large-scale electronic health record data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead analyses in electronic health record data to determine the effectiveness of medications, lifestyle advice, and health services interventions on health and health system outcomes.
  • Collaborate with researchers at Heidelberg University and Stanford University to design and implement quasi-experimental techniques, descriptive epidemiology, and randomized trials.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supervise PhD, Master, and Dr. med students.
  • Teach as part of the institute's Masters and doctoral program.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree with quantitative training or research experience.
  • Training and experience in quasi-experimental methods is a plus.
  • Strong coding skills in R, Stata, or other statistical software package.
  • Good communication skills in English.
