Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Team Lead

As a Team Lead at KION Group IT, you will be part of our Azure Virtual Desktop team and play a key role in the deployment and management of our virtual desktop infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include validating components of the Azure infrastructure, publishing AVD desktop/application solutions, and optimizing, scaling, and monitoring the virtual desktop infrastructures. You will also analyze and evaluate cloud resources, develop strategies for cost optimization, capacity, and lifecycle management, and governance. Additionally, you will take care of PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks and help shape safety standards and check compliance with them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate components of the Azure infrastructure as part of the AVD / W365 deployment.
- Publish AVD desktop/application solutions and be responsible for application delivery.
- Optimize, scale, and monitor the virtual desktop infrastructures.
- Analyze and evaluate cloud resources and develop strategies for cost optimization, capacity, and lifecycle management, and governance.
- Take care of PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
- Help shape safety standards and check compliance with them.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of and experience in PowerShell, Microsoft 365 (M365), Azure Active Directory, Intune, VDI, VMware, Citrix.
- Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certification, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) certificate would be beneficial.
