As an Accounting and Risk Management Specialist at Linde, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving our Internal Control System (ICS) for all finance-relevant processes. You will also be responsible for Active Risk Management of Linde Engineering, working closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and coordinate the audit process, reviewing control & testing documentation and analyzing & remediating control deficiencies
  • Support in coordinating financial closing processes and preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing statements of Linde Engineering
  • Prepare analyses for reporting-relevant topics by leveraging our system landscape (SAP Group Reporting)
  • Analyze and report monthly fluctuations of key balance sheet items on Linde Engineering level
  • Support in general and specific accounting topics according to local and international accounting standards (mainly US GAAP)

Requirements

You must have a bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) in business administration, business informatics, finance, or accounting, and 3-5 years' experience within a audit or consulting firm or a controlling/accounting/finance department of an internationally operating company.

You must be familiar with SOX and ICS requirements and have very good knowledge of SAP applications, including financial consolidation with SAP Group Reporting/Hyperion. Fluency in English language (written and spoken) is mandatory, knowledge in German language as well as experience in project management is of advantage.

You must have excellent analytical skills and entrepreneurial thinking, and be familiar with MS Office applications, especially MS Excel. Knowledge of Power Query/Pivot is an advantage.

Your very good interpersonal and communication skills combined with your intercultural awareness enable you to smoothly interact and collaborate with senior executive level.
