Position

You are looking for a new challenge in your procurement career? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Expert to join our team at h&z. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for guiding our clients through the implementation and change of a new operating model in procurement.

Your Mission

  • You will be part of project teams on site at our clients and take responsibility for the content of the projects.
  • You will help shape the project content in detail, analyze data and facts, and develop hypotheses and ideas.
  • You will motivate the client team through close cooperation, lead workshops, discuss optimization ideas, and develop implementation plans.
  • You will be responsible for the implementation, e.g., in the preparation and execution of tenders as well as negotiations.
  • You will also support the client through transformational approaches and change management.

Your Profile

  • A completed master's degree from a well-known university.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a team of a management consultancy specialized in purchasing and/or in the purchasing department of an international, market-leading company, ideally with project experience.
  • Basic purchasing understanding and experience in commodity group management, commodity group strategy, material cost reduction, negotiations, or supplier days.
  • Initial experience in the areas of target operating model, sustainability, digitalization, or resilience in purchasing is desirable.
  • Knowledge of one or more indirect or direct commodity groups is also helpful.
  • You are fluent in German and English.
  • In addition to your analytical and structured way of thinking and working, you should also have a good feel for situations and people.
