Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer Architect Platform HMI to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and testing competitive and reliable parts of our control system within an agile development environment.

About the Role

As a Software Developer Architect Platform HMI, you will design and develop human-machine interfaces (HMI) features, coordinate and technically clarify development tasks across multiple agile development teams, and provide technical guidance for the agile development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test competitive and reliable parts of the control system within an agile development environment
  • Design and develop human-machine interfaces (HMI) features
  • Coordinate and technically clarify development tasks across multiple agile development teams
  • Provide technical guidance for the agile development team
  • Establish effective DevOps build pipelines incl. system deployment in different production scenarios
  • Perform risk assessment based on considerations for information security, data protection and related regulations
  • Evaluate and analyze problems and root causes of reported issues from test teams or customer projects
  • Develop technical specifications and refine features and user stories within the agile development team

Requirements

  • Master's degree in information technology or automation or a related field
  • Expertise in DevOps automation tools like Jenkins, Puppet/Foreman, and Ansible
  • Comprehensive cybersecurity skills covering network- and system-administration, penetration testing, hardening, malware protection and vulnerability assessment
  • Strong background in Java programming within a system development team
  • Extensive experience in ergonomics, HMI applications and programming languages including HTML5, Java, C++/C, and MS SQL
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English, with proficiency in German as a plus
