Android Software Engineer

DIVERA GmbH is a digital transformation company that accelerates business processes for enterprises, authorities, fire departments, and relief organizations. We develop and operate the DIVERA 24/7 alarm and availability system as a SaaS platform.
Our mobile app enables customers to quickly reach their personnel in emergency situations, disruptions, and critical events. Senior executives and dispatchers are immediately informed about the team's readiness. Real-time information exchange is possible through the integrated messenger.
We are looking for an experienced Android software engineer to further develop our mobile app and expand its functionality. As an Android specialist, you will be responsible for building a high-quality app with a strong focus on user experience.
Your Responsibilities- Develop and maintain our in-house app, currently 90% Java, with ongoing Kotlin integration.
- Integrate REST APIs, program custom views, and more.
- Ensure compatibility with older smartphones, currently up to Android 8.
- Optimize energy settings for various device manufacturers.
- Collaborate with other IT specialists on architecture, client-server architecture, and testing.
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, and native Android apps.
- Passion for Android development, with a focus on staying up-to-date with the latest developments.
- Understanding of databases and web interfaces.
- High standards for code quality, including testing and maintainability.
- Sense of modern interface design and user experience.
- Experience with Android Studio, FCM, Git, and Jira is an advantage.
