About this role

Amazon's Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering organization (RME) is seeking a skilled Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to lead initiatives focused on HVAC Design and Commissioning. This role will oversee multiple programs and projects, driving complex activities across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC design, construction, or maintenance, with experience in managing multiple programs/projects and overseeing capital projects related to Building Management Systems (BMS).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute programs focused on sustainable HVAC and mechanical system solutions across different business units.
• Oversee the delivery of capital projects, from scoping and design to construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver complex/cross-functional projects.
• Identify and drive improvements in HVAC and mechanical systems to increase energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or relevant technical discipline.
• Operations and reliability maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial warehouse, or commercial building environment.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in HVAC design, construction, or maintenance.
• Experience in design and operation of mechanical systems, including Roof Top Units, CRAC systems, HVLS, and exhaust fans.
• Understanding of psychometrics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamic processes and their relation to HVAC related applications.
• Familiarity with building and or process heating/cooling load calculations to derive HVAC equipment specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) License, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or LEED accreditation.
• Six Sigma/Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting electrical control wiring and related BMS instrumentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
