We are seeking a highly skilled Quantum Photonics Engineer to join our team at Darwin Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and simulating integrated photonic devices, collaborating with fabrication and measurement experts, and analyzing and presenting your findings.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing integrated nonlinear photonic devices using advanced simulation tools and techniques.
  • Simulating cutting-edge optical devices to optimize their performance and efficiency.
  • Analyzing and presenting your findings to stakeholders, including technical reports and presentations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of your work into our overall product development process.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience in designing, simulating, and testing integrated photonic devices, with a strong understanding of quantum and nonlinear optics.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools like COMSOL, Lumerical, MEEP, etc.
  • Skilled in Python for data analysis and acquisition, with experience in data visualization and machine learning.
  • Proven hands-on experimental experience in a laboratory or research setting.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, scientists, and technicians.
  • Cleanroom fabrication experience, with a strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Quantum computing and quantum technology expertise.
  • Photonic integrated circuits design and simulation experience.
  • Nonlinear optics and photonics expertise.
  • MEMS design and fabrication experience.
  • COMSOL, Lumerical, and MEEP simulation tool proficiency.
