Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Projects Engineer to join our team at MAM Gruppe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and maintain network and firewall solutions to ensure seamless communication and data security.
  • Redesign existing MPLS infrastructures to optimize performance and security.
  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying potential issues and taking proactive measures to resolve them.
  • Conduct network tests and analyses to identify bottlenecks and security gaps, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Lead projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely completion, resource allocation, and budget control.
  • Collaborate with international IT teams to plan and execute integrations and upgrades.
  • Design and implement security policies and procedures to protect our network and data.
  • Document network configurations, security policies, and procedures to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Provide support to team members with network and firewall-related issues.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in network and firewall administration.
  • Sound knowledge of firewall and switch configuration, preferably with Sophos, Fortinet, Cisco, or DELL.
  • Experience with network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, WAN, and MPLS.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP are an advantage.
  • Ability to take overall responsibility for solution development and implementation.
  • Desirable experience in Windows Server infrastructures and creating holistic network and security solutions.
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in German and English, with business-level proficiency.
