About the Role

As a Senior Solution Architect at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for leading the development project to ramp up an engineering tool for electrical component and system design. This includes CAD (CAE) from a technical perspective. You will define the solution of the engineering tool from front- and back-end, ensuring the technical quality and performance of the solution. Additionally, you will be the single point of contact for the development team to clarify and decide technical questions.

Responsibilities
  1. Steer the development project to ramp up an engineering tool for electrical component and system design, incl. CAD (CAE) from a technical perspective
  2. Define the solution of the engineering tool from front- and back-end
  3. Responsible for the technical quality and performance of the solution
  4. Single point of contact for the development team to clarify and decide technical questions
  5. Ensure achievements of the project to fulfill Siemens Energy's engineering objectives within the high voltage switchgear domain
  6. Address risks and opportunities during project execution and create technical solution proposals

Requirements
  1. Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, physics or related and minimum 5 years' experience as a software solution architect or comparable role
  2. Longstanding hands-on experience working collaboratively with product team members such as product management, engineering, data engineering and software developers
  3. Excellent analytical skills and profound expertise in making data-driven decisions and communicating the results of analyses
  4. Proven experience in the application architecture design within the engineering domain (CAE)
  5. Knowledge in Siemens PLM Teamcenter and experience in technical designing solutions that includes data modelling, (web) interfaces and engineering process automation
  6. Experienced in CAD interfaces design, NX, AutoCAD
  7. Deep knowledge of programming language C#/C++
  8. Strong customer orientation, open-mindedness, and willingness to learn, continuous development of own skills, excellent communication skills and ease of getting along in a global and multicultural environment
  9. Result-driven and excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills as well as passionate about data and analytics, and driving data value across all parts of an organization and ecosystems
  10. Fluency in both spoken and written English, knowledge of German on B2 level and any other language is a plus
