Credit Risk Specialist

At Uniper, we are seeking a skilled Credit Risk Specialist to join our Risk Management Team in Düsseldorf. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for effectively managing credit risk arising from our commercial activities, including commodity trading, wholesale, and renewable energy projects.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify key risks at a single name and portfolio level.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with credit limits approved for each counterparty and issuance of credit reports.
- Negotiate credit components in standard agreements and bespoke contracts, as well as negotiation of collateral concepts.
- Maintain credit limits, collateral documents, and related data in credit risk systems.
- Prepare high-quality credit limit applications.
- Enable market access and support new business initiatives and deal structures by developing and implementing suitable credit solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your Profile:
- Business Administration/Finance education background with experience in credit risk management in the energy sector is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Self-starter, well-organized, strong sense of initiative with the ability to think independently and solution-oriented.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of risk metric methodologies and credit risk mitigation tools.
- Good computer-based skills, proficient in Excel, or similar analytical tools.
- Excellent spoken and written German and English is a pre-requisite.
