TenneT is at the forefront of the energy transition, playing a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable future. We are currently seeking a dedicated Cloud Platform Engineer (m/w/d) to enhance our Digital & Data team.
Your Role
As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing and sustaining the technical infrastructure that underpins the TenneT Data Cloud Platform (PaaS). Your efforts will directly support our product teams by automating infrastructure processes, thereby enhancing their operational efficiency. Your work will empower developers to concentrate on application development rather than infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Create tools and scripts to streamline platform operations.
- Integrate monitoring and alerting systems to ensure platform health and performance.
- Enhance platform performance and operational efficiency.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless platform deployments.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, maintaining the containerized document control application deployed via Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science from an accredited institution.
- Cloud Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with Microsoft Azure technologies, including Virtual Machines and Data Lake Service.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, is essential for automating cloud resource management.
- Containerization Skills: Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes is crucial for managing containerized applications. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and scripting in Bash or PowerShell is advantageous.
- DevOps Knowledge: Understanding of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices, along with experience using tools like Azure Pipelines or GitHub, is necessary for optimizing development workflows.
- Strong communication skills in German (both written and verbal) are required; proficiency in English is a plus.
