Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to join our team in ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of Compliance Surveillance & Control plans.

About the Role
  • Manage Compliance Surveillance & Control plan and enhance the framework over time to cover relevant risks such as Money Laundering, Market Abuse, and/or the misuse of confidential information.
  • Execute Compliance Surveillance and control measures in line with the Compliance Surveillance & Control Plan.
  • Identify areas where additional Compliance Surveillance and/or control measures are recommended to cover identified risks or weaknesses and design/implement the relevant new controls as appropriate to address a business or process risk.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate and foster further automation of Compliance Surveillance and Control activities.
  2. Establish and manage the Compliance investigations function.
  3. Coordinate the timely execution of Compliance Investigations with relevant team members in Compliance, Legal and other areas.
  4. Handle Customer Complaints and Whistleblowing reports received in close coordination with the Legal function and, where appropriate, external law firms.
  5. Prepare relevant investigation reports for senior management.
  6. Represent the Compliance function in audit reviews and provide relevant information around Compliance Surveillance & Controls framework, Complaints and Whistleblowings to auditors.
  7. Prepare relevant notifications of suspicious activities (SAR's, STOR's) and other relevant reports to regulatory authorities.
  8. Monitor the execution of outsourced Surveillance & Control activities by other group entities and external service providers.
  9. Provide training on Compliance Surveillance, Controls and Investigations framework, Complaints and Whistleblowings to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Candidates should have excellent knowledge of Compliance regulations and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Compliance surveillance and control functions, including investigative procedures and handling customer complaints.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, colleagues, and external parties.
  • A strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify and prioritize areas for improvement.
