IT Network Engineer

As a key member of our global IT operations team, you will play a crucial role in managing and continuously developing our state-of-the-art IT infrastructure from the network to the cloud.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Continuous Operation: guarantee the accessibility and continuous operation of the network (WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi) with support from service providers.
  • Drive Progress: further develop and implement our global network strategy and design, execute and support global network modernization.
  • Tackle Tasks: independently analyze and troubleshoot errors, manage technical requirements, coordinate with providers, and oversee network release management.
  • Record Conscientiously: maintain technical service documentation and continuously monitor and report on services.

Your Profile

  • Qualification: a university degree in computer science, business informatics, or comparable training (e.g., IT specialist).
  • Experience: network experience, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, MPLS, SD-WAN, routers, VPN, gateways, proxy, and firewall, as well as knowledge of advanced IT structures and systems within the security environment.
  • Know-how: expertise in routing, switching, firewalling, troubleshooting, and network design.
  • Additional Qualification: Cisco CCNP/CCIE, knowledge of service processes according to ITIL.
  • Personality: customer orientation, sense of responsibility, analytical thinking skills, and a systematic and goal-oriented way of working as part of a team, with a willingness to constantly deal with new technologies.
  • Languages: conversationally fluent English language skills required; German advantageous.
  • Travel: willingness to occasionally travel nationally and internationally.
