IT Application Specialist for Clinical Systems

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Application Specialist to join our team at Uniklinik Köln. As a key member of our clinical IT team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and optimization of our clinical systems, including SAP IS-H and KAS Orbis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and optimization of SAP IS-H and KAS Orbis systems
  • Management of interfaces with other subsystems
  • Focus on patient admission and billing modules
  • Analysis of requirements and development of solution concepts
  • Ensuring data integrity and system stability
  • Conducting tests and quality assurance measures
  • Providing training and support to users
  • Supporting regular maintenance activities
  • Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement new solutions
  • Second-level support and on-call duties
Requirements
  • Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable IT education
  • Experience in application maintenance
  • Knowledge of SAP IS-H or KAS Orbis or other KIS/KAS applications
  • Expertise in patient admission and billing
  • Basic knowledge of interface management with other subsystems
  • Analytical thinking and structured work approach
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • High motivation and engagement
  • Desirable: experience in the healthcare sector or hospital environment
  • Minimum first experience in leading IT projects
