Regulatory Financial Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Financial Accountant to join our team in Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day accounting and related finance functions of the German office are executed accurately and efficiently.

This role will provide an opportunity to work with a global fintech company that is at the forefront of innovation in the financial industry. Our fast-paced environment requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing regulations.

About the Role

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Preparing daily client money reconciliations and monitoring reports
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory capital rules and reporting under the EU Investment Firm Regulation
  • Preparation of financial statements, including annual business plans and statutory financial accounts
  • Providing insightful information through the preparation of finance board packs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a similar field
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in the financial industry
  • Strong IFRS and German GAAP accounting knowledge
  • Experience in regulatory capital rules and reporting under the EU Investment Firm Regulation
  • Fluent English and German language skills
