About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Foodji marketplace GmbH. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing our data architecture, ensuring the accuracy and performance of our data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Developer and BI teams to design and implement a robust and efficient data warehouse architecture.
  • Develop ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources into our data warehouse.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy standards are met through testing and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance through indexing and other techniques.
  • Design data models and structures that accurately reflect business processes and support analytical requirements.
Requirements
  • A university degree in a STEM field.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in data integration, data modeling, and development of data architecture.
  • Expertise in analyzing database performance bottlenecks and optimizing SQL queries, joins, indexes, and data models.
  • Experience in working with NoSQL databases and syncing NoSQL-based data into a SQL-based data warehouse.
  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries for data manipulation and retrieval.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about working with data.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
