We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC), you will play a critical role in ensuring that our company operates in accordance with best-in-class compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice on Compliance matters relating to SAP's entities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
- Develop and implement Compliance programs, including support for the SAP Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
- Administer, prepare, run, and follow up on local Compliance Committees.
- Support the drafting of policies and conduct training on compliance topics, including avoidance of bribery and corruption.
- Provide compliance oversight on sales activities and review and analyze Due Diligence for Partners and third parties.
- Review sponsorships, donations, and memberships.
- Support Compliance Investigations and manage Consequence Management.
- Stay substantively up to date on relevant laws and regulations.
- Track and report compliance issues and KPIs to OEC management on a periodic basis.
- Multiple years of relevant work experience, especially experience in compliance in an international environment or sales environment.
- Corporate compliance department and/or law or audit firm experience highly desired.
- Accredited lawyer or other experienced compliance professional (preferably with legal background).
- Previous experience in the IT industry is preferable.
- Fluent business and legal English and German language skills.
- Hands-on with extreme attention to detail and written documentation.
- Ability to do in-depth research and to interpret written guidelines and documents.
- Strong grasp of codes of conduct, business ethics policies, and current compliance practices.
- Experience handling compliance investigations highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex issues and ability of risk-based decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior leadership in dynamic environments.
- Experience in the areas of detection and prevention of fraud or corruption preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with international, virtual teams with sensitivity to cultural differences.
- Project Management experience is highly desirable.
- Very good communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable in MS office tools and IT business environment.
