Electrical Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Teacher to join our team at the Lawrenceville Correctional Center. As an Electrical Teacher, you will be responsible for providing effective Career and Technical instruction in the assigned trade area, assisting students to complete required competencies, and maintaining accurate student records.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students in the electrical trade area
- Assist students in completing required competencies and assessments
- Maintain accurate and current student records
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of safety management in the lab
- Supervise adult inmates in a classroom/lab environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least two years' full-time or 2000 hours of verifiable experience in the electrical trade area
- Eligibility for a Journeyman or Master Electrician License or Industrial/Technical Professional License in Electrical/relevant trade area/field issued by Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR)
- Eligibility for a teaching certificate by the Department of Education
- Five years' experience in the electrical trade area
- Experience in correctional education classroom management
- Knowledge of all phases of the electrical trade area
