Job Title: Global Project Procurement Manager

Join Siemens AG, a leading provider of systems, solutions, and services for the intelligent control and monitoring of energy supply networks, as a Global Project Procurement Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement activities in various projects and regions in the areas of Grid Software, with a purchasing volume in the high double digit million range.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop global procurement strategies, considering bundling and standardization projects, identify and qualify national and international suppliers, build a portfolio of innovative preferred suppliers, and continuously optimize their performance.
  • Drive sustainability, digitalization, and cybersecurity initiatives with our suppliers and optimize 3rd-party costs in customer offers and projects in close collaboration with the sales team.
  • Define negotiation concepts and implement them using innovative sourcing methods, including independently concluding contracts with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Analyze and interpret market information and large data sets to derive well-founded actions.
  • Understand international markets and operate confidently with different cultures and legal frameworks. In this context, lead interdisciplinary working groups, involving interface partners from HQ and sales zones.
  • As part of the Siemens procurement network, use global resources and work across hierarchies.
  • Ensure the implementation of agreed results and act as a point of contact for clarifications and critical issues, handling active risk management.
Requirements:
  • Hold a University Degree in Electrical Engineering or technical education with relevant/specific experience.
  • Have many years of professional experience in procurement of contract-based services or a similar field, and built solid market knowledge.
  • Be backed by expertise in legal matters and negotiation skills.
  • Possess solid understanding of the SAP-MM module and MS Office applications.
  • Stand out due to results orientation, analytical skills, critical thinking, teamwork abilities, and assertiveness.
  • Have strong communication skills with international partners and proficiency in English.
