Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Developer to join our team at MB Automation GmbH & Co. KG. As an Embedded Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop system software for embedded devices and systems
  • Implement software optimizations at the System on a Chip (SoC) level
  • Develop and test device drivers and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Integrate and validate new product designs
  • Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
  • Provide post-production support and interface with hardware design and development
  • Assess third-party and open-source software
Requirements:
  • C and C++ programming skills
  • Experience with microcontrollers, ARM, and microprocessors
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems and software optimizations
  • Understanding of design patterns and embedded system design patterns
  • Debugging skills and ability to work with existing codebases
  • Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, USB, GPIOs, CAN bus, RS232, one-wire, and RS485
  • Ability to read a schematic and basic understanding of IoT and internet-based technologies
  • Understanding of data structures and Python programming language
  • RISC-V instruction set architecture knowledge
