Product Cost Analyst

At Alstom, we're committed to creating a sustainable future for transportation. As a Product Cost Analyst (Mechanical), you'll play a crucial role in reducing the carbon footprint of our products.
Purpose of the Job:
- To challenge costs and improve environmental impact through a 'just enough' design approach
- To estimate the cost of various components and systems of a train
- To generate ideas for design improvement
- To participate in creating target costs for tenders and projects
- To promote cost awareness in the Design Engineering team
Responsibilities:
- To calculate the technical cost of products and systems
- To generate and formalize saving opportunities
- To ensure the consistency of assumptions
- To check the impact on technical performances, energy consumption, mechanical integration, industrial processes, and supply chain
- To support design changes along the development cycle
- To contribute to reaching project cost targets
Requirements:
- Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Basic knowledge of industrial processes
- Fluent in English, optionally skills in German
- Good entrepreneurship and persistence
- Very good agility and collaborative spirit
- Dynamic, proactive, and autonomous
