Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our Linux/Unix systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain Linux/Unix systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure system security and integrity by implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and take corrective action to prevent downtime or optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations, preferably in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, including shell scripting and system administration.
  • Experience with incident management, change management, problem management, and service requests.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Fluency in English and German, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
