Chief Procurement Strategist

Güntner GmbH, a global leader in refrigeration and air conditioning technology, is seeking a Chief Procurement Strategist to join its team.

This role involves ensuring the optimal procurement of raw materials for production, focusing on total cost of ownership (TCO) perspective. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional and cross-regional processes related to purchasing, considering quality, safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.

• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of goods from suppliers.
• Develop and implement commodity strategies with a clear focus on material cost optimization under TCO.
• Negotiate and create legally secure global contracts.
• Manage interfaces between departments for effective and efficient cross-company processes.
• Track activities to ensure targets are met and deviations are addressed promptly.
• Plan and execute tenders to enhance market transparency.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commercial or Technical field.
• Profound experience as a strategic purchaser/buyer in the metal goods sector.
• Expertise in contract negotiations and knowledge of contracts.
• Leadership skills and ability to motivate teams.
• Proactive thinking and target-oriented mindset.
• Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and ERP systems.
• Fluent Business English, spoken and written.
