Strategic Purchasing Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Purchasing Manager to join our team at MT Aerospace, a leading international aerospace company. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for strategic purchasing for all direct material and service procurement groups.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a global purchasing strategy to optimize material prices and improve supplier relationships.
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate purchasing functions in technical sales, research & development, and make-or-buy decisions.
- Monitor and optimize global purchasing volume, coordinate potential savings, and develop benchmarks.
- Develop lead buyer concepts for key product groups and support supplier development.
- Play a leading role in the implementation of SAP S/4HANA.
- Graduate degree in economics or engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of relevant purchasing management methods, including supplier relationship management and global sourcing.
- Ability to holistically assess product, technical specification, quality, and costs.
- Excellent communication skills and interest in expanding your professional network.
- Experience with global supplier markets, ideally in the aerospace industry.
- Leadership experience, strong decision-making, and implementation skills, with a willingness to travel internationally.
- Business fluent in German and English, with further foreign language skills desirable.
- Mobile working and flexible working hours.
- Attractive payment according to IG Metall collective agreement.
- 35-hour week, 30 days annual leave, and special leave days.
