Job Responsibilities for Accounting Specialist

You will play a key role in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Additionally, you will be independently responsible for creating monthly and quarterly reports for selected companies within the EagleBurgmann Group, showcasing your analytical skills and attention to detail.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain processes for intercompany and netting reconciliations, ensuring seamless transactions and accurate financial records.
  • Support the Shared Service Center in processing special topics and account clarifications, demonstrating your ability to work collaboratively and efficiently.
  • Manage and post withholding tax and trade tax matters, as well as process individual tax matters in close cooperation with the central tax department.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, leveraging your expertise in operational accounting to drive results.
  • Collaborate with the global process owner to continuously develop processes and tools, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess several years of specialized professional experience in operational accounting, with a strong understanding of operational accounting processes, particularly in order-to-cash and intercompany accounting. Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO) and experience in implementing and supporting accounting-related projects are also essential. Furthermore, you should be fluent in written and spoken German and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
