Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Reservoir Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production within budgeted objectives, initiating and optimizing depletion strategies, and managing waterflood schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain production within budgeted/forecasted objectives
- Initiate, monitor, and optimize depletion strategies of assets
- Dynamic reservoir simulation
- Management of existing waterflood schemes through tracking of injection volumes, pattern allocations, VRRs, and overall performance
- Apply new technologies and techniques to manage waterflood conformance, increase efficiency, and maximize recovery factors in existing pools
- Work closely with Production and Exploitation Engineers to set ongoing injection targets and optimize water injection/disposal volumes
- Provide estimation and evaluation of drilling opportunities and work overs, including productivity, reserves, costs, timing, and risk value determination
- Apply oil and gas asset evaluation experience to the evaluation of acquisition and divestiture opportunities and the preparation of associated business proposals, including economic evaluations
Requirements
- Graduated (Petroleum) Engineering or comparable education
- High technical proficiency in Engineering with 10+ years industry experience
- Well-rounded experience in both oil and gas reservoir/development
- Strong background in Exploration and field development projects
- High level of proficiency and experience with industry-standard software applications, i.e., Fekete Piper, Well Test, Petrel, Eclipse, MatBal Prosper
- Proficiency in English is required, German on a conversational level
- International experience and experience of German basins
- A strong team player, a good communicator who is self-confident and has the ability to take the initiative and show a creative approach
