TenneT is a leading player in the energy transition, and we're looking for a passionate Senior Inspector for Structural and Coating to contribute to our Offshore Station in Indonesia/Hanover. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our offshore construction projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality assurance during fabrication of topside and jacket construction in the fabrication yard, including structural, welding quality, dimensional control, weight, and coating.
  • Develop and implement mitigation measures for findings and monitor their rectification.
  • Coordinate site structural, welding, and coating inspectors to attend and witness structural inspections.
  • Collaborate with Sub-Project Lead structural and the certifying authority for acceptance of the structural execution of the platform.
  • Work closely with the HVDC/platform project team to ensure project execution aligns with site manual, HSE goals, delivery schedule, contract specifications, and quality assurance policies.
Your Profile and Background
  • You have a strong background in welding engineering with NACE II/III certificate and Coating FROSIO level 3 certificate.
  • Experience with stressed skin design of topsides is a plus.
  • You're familiar with rules and regulations applicable for construction of offshore structures in the German North Sea (BSH, DNV, WSV) and EN-ISO structural, welding, and coating standards.
  • You have at least 10 years of experience working on large steel construction projects on yards, preferably in a supervisory role, and experience with coating systems on large offshore projects.
  • You're fluent in English, and additional languages (e.g., German or Bahasa Indonesia) are an advantage.
  • You're willing to work and live abroad in a yard location environment (Batam – Indonesia) for an extended period (4-5 years) and willing to travel to other fabrication facilities.
