Senior AI Researcher, Conversational Systems

At Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Researcher, Conversational Systems to join our Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Large Language Model, Natural Language Processing, and Machine/Deep learning.
This role will be at the heart of the Alexa LLM transition, working closely with a team of applied and research scientists to enhance existing features and explore new possibilities with LLM.
The successful candidate will interact in a cross-functional capacity with science, product, and engineering leaders, communicating effectively with the leadership team as well as with colleagues from science, engineering, and business backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on core LLM technologies (supervised fine tuning, prompt optimization, etc.) to enable Alexa use cases
- Research and develop novel metrics and algorithms for LLM evaluation
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement LLM-based solutions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD, or a Master's degree and experience in CS, CE, ML, or related field
- Experience in building models for business applications
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in professional software development
