We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our EV Charging Products and Technology Middle Mile team in the EU. As a key member of our Global Fleet and Products team, you will be responsible for defining and applying new EVSE technologies to enable large-scale EV deployments and deliver a world-class customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Define EVSE products business strategy, portfolio, and standards for a business unit in Amazon EU, aligning teams and organizations across businesses and geographies, and leading decision-making processes with Senior Leadership.
- Understand the key aspects of EVSE technologies in the areas of design, operations, costs, predictive and preventative maintenance, safety, and security risks to identify gaps and propose areas of improvement.
- Provide technical diligence on EVSE products, defining and deriving technical requirements and specifications for EVSE based on business strategy and customer needs.
- Validate EVSE products against internal technical and regulatory requirements to ensure best-in-class performance of our portfolio.
- Lead partnerships with internal EV design teams and EV OEMs to ensure EVSE-EV compatibility and deployment configurations.
- Evaluate the engineering and technical architecture, product design, and application of new and emerging EVSE technologies.
- Manage end-to-end product definition, validation, and quality, including defining technical specifications and product performance criteria, creating and executing test protocols, and driving teams to supply failure mode and root-cause analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, or Software Engineering from an accredited university or a related scientific field.
- 8+ years of experience in mechatronics or electrical engineering in the areas of automotive, electrification, power systems, power electronics, control systems for industrial systems.
- Experience with the definition, ownership, and successful execution of product strategies with cross-functional/business-unit wide impact in the EV/EVSE industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Electric Vehicle industry and specifically proven track record in EVSE technology definition, validation, and application in large-scale, cross-functional, international projects.
- In-depth knowledge of equipment safety and performance certifications required for operation of electrical systems.
- Master's degree in Engineering or MBA in Engineering Management.
- Expert knowledge of developing highly-availability EVSE design/architectures, large-scale power systems, electric mobility/transportation, or mission-critical industrial systems.
- 10+ years of experience with power products used in design, operation, or maintenance of large-scale infrastructure systems.
- Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations including IEC, CE, and ISO.
- Knowledge of cloud computing architecture and capabilities.
- Ability to carry new design concepts through exploration, Senior Leadership approvals, development, and into prototyping/manufacturing/roll-out.
- Experience with data analytical skills and tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, and regression models.
