The company is part of the Bosch Building Technologies division, which is divided into the international product business and the regional system integration business.
The new company to be set up in the future will be responsible for setting up the three product areas of video systems, access control & intrusion detection systems, and communication systems, as well as the associated cross-divisional functions within the division.
Job Responsibilities- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize the data center infrastructure and network systems in close collaboration with external service providers.
- Manage data center capacity planning and improve the network architecture (topology) to support organizational requirements.
- Implement security measures to protect the network infrastructure from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
- Proactively monitor network health, performance metrics, and security events, and analyse network traffic patterns to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans for the data center and network infrastructure, and perform regular DR/BC testing to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of a disaster.
- Manage relationships with network equipment vendors, service providers, and contractors to procure hardware/software, participate in contract negotiations, and ensure service delivery.
- Education: completed university studies in information technology or a comparable subject.
- Experience and Knowledge: several years of professional experience in the design and implementation of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) solutions for network infrastructure and data centre operations, as well as vendor relationship management, technology vendor evaluation, and procurement of network hardware, software, and services.
- Knowledge of network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and access control mechanisms, as well as cloud networking concepts and technologies, including public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures and their integration with on-premise network infrastructure.
- Personality and Working Practice: persuasive, able to work under pressure, organized, and have good argumentation and communication skills at all levels of the organization.
- Languages: business fluent in written and spoken German and English.
