About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our System Integration IT team at ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex In Service Support (ISS) projects in the field of System Integration IT and Communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management of complex ISS projects in the field of System Integration IT and Communication
  • Development of project proposals
  • Project planning, project control, and quality assurance
  • Coaching of junior project managers
  • Monitoring of performance delivery
  • Coordination of cross-functional performance components, such as documentation and logistics
  • Customer care within the scope of project implementation
  • Support of the team and business unit leadership in new customer acquisition and other sales activities
  • Interface between ISS projects and realization projects
  • Professional leadership of the project team and central point of contact for the customer, subcontractors, and management
  • Identification and pursuit of business opportunities in the project environment
  • Further development and expansion of ISS projects in the field of System Integration IT and Communication

Requirements:

  • Completed technical or natural sciences degree or equivalent
  • Long-term and versatile professional experience, preferably as project management (V-Model)
  • Experience in the defense industry, particularly in the field of technical logistics support
  • Sound understanding of official and military procurement processes
  • Experience in analyzing existing processes and developing optimization measures
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • High assertiveness
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes to a limited extent
  • Very good German and good English skills in writing and speaking
