Job Title: Procurement Team Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Team Lead to join our team at Volocopter GmbH. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading a growing team of direct buyers and developing dedicated commodity strategies for all direct material end to end to be procured by your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop your team members to establish procurement excellence within your scope of control
  • Develop dedicated commodity strategies for all direct material end to end to be procured by your team
  • Find technical solutions with the engineering team and lead the search on the market for the best sources considering technical, industrial, and commercial aspects
  • Run and evaluate RFI/RFQs and negotiate contracts with selected suppliers and ensure continuous contract management with the supplier portfolio
  • Sourcing flying material within your commodity and lead negotiations with your team, whilst developing and maintaining relationships with existing suppliers
  • Implement processes, methods, and tools to deliver continuous cost improvements in accordance with the set targets

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in procurement or supplier management with focus on direct procurement, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Solid track record in the implementation of commodity strategies, contract management, processes, and tools
  • Pioneering spirit, combining the ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally and cross-culturally
  • Master's degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, or similar
  • Good command in MS-Office and ERP, preferably MS Dynamics 365 Business Central - Navision ERP
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, as well as German language skills
