Your Role

We are looking for a Global Sea Logistics Reefer Trade Manager to support our Perishables customer portfolio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for pricing and procuring sea logistics solutions, collaborating with our Reefer Trade team, Kuehne+Nagel stations, customers, and ocean carriers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support Kuehne+Nagel's growth ambitions by engaging with the business and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Execute carrier strategy in alignment with Global Reefer Trade, ensuring seamless logistics operations.
  • Provide support to Kuehne+Nagel Branches with operational issues that cannot be solved locally, including carrier options and allocation.
  • Prepare and participate in carrier negotiations, monitoring agreed outcomes and ensuring successful contract administration.
  • Maintain Kuehne+Nagel SeaRates, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Prepare tenders, analyze, and execute, ensuring optimal logistics solutions.
  • Allocate and administer contracts, ensuring timely and efficient logistics operations.
  • Track carrier performance and align on corrective actions, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Conduct market analysis and statistics, providing valuable insights to support business growth.
  • Maintain Trade Information through Kuehne+Nagel channels, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Seafreight Reefer experience, with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
  • Academic degree in Business Administration with a focus on logistics or equivalent education is an advantage.
  • Operational or commercial background, with a proven track record of success.
  • Willingness to learn and develop yourself, with a growth mindset.
  • Negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with carriers and customers.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze data and create presentations.
  • Flexibility for business trips, both nationally and internationally.
  • Language skills: Proficiency in English is a must, with further languages being an advantage.
