Analytical Chemist

We are a small, family-owned manufacturing company based in Kaltenkirchen, Germany. Our company specializes in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and operates a well-equipped quality control (QC) laboratory with modern analytical instruments. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our QC team.
Job Responsibilities- Work independently in the QC laboratory, performing various tasks such as sample preparation, instrument operation, and data analysis.
- Conduct chemical and physical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Operate high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC) instruments, as well as perform wet chemical tests.
- Perform water content determination using the Karl Fischer method, UV/VIS spectroscopy, and infrared (IR) spectroscopy.
- Perform titrations and calibrate and maintain all laboratory instruments.
- Collaborate with the quality team to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), test protocols, and forms.
- Completed training as a chemical laboratory technician, chemist, or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks and projects.
- First-hand experience in quality control of APIs is desirable.
- Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken, and good English language skills are also required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
